1. Introduction
By signing up for the TANIT Impact Volunteering Program, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. This program connects volunteers with regenerative farms in Peru, offering hands-on experiences in planting, harvesting, and sustainable farming practices. TANIT acts solely as a connection platform between volunteers and farms and does not provide travel arrangements, insurance, or direct supervision. This agreement is governed by German law, and any disputes shall be resolved under German jurisdiction.
2. Volunteer Responsibilities
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older or provide parental/guardian consent.
- Volunteers are responsible for all travel arrangements, including flights, transportation, and visas.
- Volunteers must obtain adequate health and travel insurance covering accidents, illness, and other unforeseen circumstances.
- Volunteers must communicate directly with their assigned farms to coordinate arrival details, accommodation, and daily schedules.
- Volunteers are expected to respect farm rules, local customs, and community guidelines.
- Volunteers must ensure safety and well-being while on-site and comply with any safety instructions given by the farm hosts.
3. Farm Responsibilities
- Farms must provide safe accommodation and meals as agreed upon in the volunteer placement.
- Farms must clearly outline work expectations, schedules, and responsibilities before the volunteer’s arrival.
- Farms must treat volunteers with fairness, respect, and non-discrimination.
4. TANIT’s Role & Liability
- TANIT functions only as an intermediary and does not employ volunteers or farm hosts.
- TANIT does not guarantee the quality, safety, or experience of any farm placement.
- TANIT is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or conflicts arising during the volunteer experience.
- TANIT does not cover any expenses related to travel, insurance, or personal costs incurred by the volunteer.
- TANIT reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation if a volunteer or farm is found violating program guidelines.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- TANIT does not charge volunteers a fee but reserves the right to update policies if necessary.
- Farms may have their own cancellation policies, and volunteers must communicate directly with them regarding any schedule changes.
6. Code of Conduct
- Volunteers must act responsibly, ethically, and respectfully toward farm hosts, fellow volunteers, and local communities.
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the program.
- Volunteers must respect the environment, wildlife, and sustainable farming practices.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
- Volunteers’ personal data will be used solely for program coordination and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
- TANIT complies with data protection laws to ensure volunteer information remains secure.
8. Health, Safety & Insurance
- Volunteers must ensure they have appropriate vaccinations and meet health requirements for travel.
- Volunteers must have insurance that covers medical emergencies, repatriation, and personal liability.
- Farm hosts must provide a safe working environment, adhering to local safety standards.
9. Intellectual Property
- Any content created during the volunteer experience (photos, videos, writings) may be used by TANIT for promotional purposes unless the volunteer objects in writing.
10. Environmental Commitment
- Volunteers must follow sustainable practices, including proper waste disposal and energy conservation.
- Farms are expected to implement and promote sustainable farming techniques.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by German law. Any disputes related to this agreement shall be settled in the courts of Germany.
12. Agreement & Acceptance
By submitting the signup form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. You acknowledge that TANIT is a facilitator and that all responsibilities related to travel, insurance, and farm placement rest with the volunteer and farm hosts.
